Agricultural Economics Research
The section has so far undertaken various research projects pertaining to cost of cultivation of important crops of this region, marketing of agricultural produce and working out economics of various systems, economics of milk production, sheep and goat rearing, organic farming, agricultural development and economics of co-operative processing units etc. Every year this section is allotted one research project by the Research Review Committee, MPKV, Rahuri.
This section has already completed and submitted the research project entitled “Economic Performance of Kolhapur / Sangli / Satara District Central Cooperative Banks Ltd. during the year 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 respectively. During the year 2011-12 the section is completed research project on ‘Trends in arrivals and prices of selected cereals in APMC, Kolhapur’

- 2012-13: Economics of Sugarcane harvester in Kolhapur district.
- 2013-14 : Economics of Production and Marketing of chemical free Jaggery in Kolhapur District
- 2014-15: Economic analysis of production and marketing of Gerbera under polyhouse in Kolhapur district
- 2015-16: Economic analysis of production and marketing of Gerbera under polyhouse in Kolhapur district
- 2016-17: Trends in area production and productivity of major oilseeds in Western Maharashtra
- 2017-18: Economic of Pandharpuri Buffaloes milk production in Kolhapur diatrict
- 2019-20: Performance of PACS in Kolhapur district
- 2020-21: Status report of Self Help Groups (shetakari gat/ farmers interest groups) formed under ATMA in Kolhapur district.
- 2021-22: Economic analysis of Farmers’ Groups (Shetakari Gat) in Panhala tahsil of Kolhapur District
